The ZR1 features an improved seal design for increased durability and a quicker response with 66 points of engagement. Zipp engineers spent more than two years developing the ZR1, with durability testing that included more than 58,500 km of test riding as part of 3,222 hours of total testing. The hubset incorporates key technology from Zipp’s Cognition hubs, including a large dust cap at the base of the driver body and improved bearing seals for additional protection. The bearing size is also the same as the Cognition hub, although the Cognition uses a premium bearing.

The ZR1 uses a seal design focused on improved protection and durability, while its hub construction features an aluminum hub shell with angled flanges and fully machined construction. Zipp hubs are designed for J-bend spokes, which are widely available and easier to replace. This front hub features a TA 12x100 axle, 28 spoke holes, a Center Lock disc brake interface, aluminum axle construction, and cartridge steel bearings. It is also e-bike certified and available as part of the ZR1 disc and rim brake hubset range.

Features:

Better sealing, increasing durability over the previous hub model

Quick engagement for a responsive ride

Lightweight design

Same bearing size and caps as the premium-level Cognition hub

E-bike certified

Disc brake hub with Center Lock rotor interface

Lock ring included

Available in disc and rim brake variants

Through axles or QR with removable end caps

XDR or SRAM / Shimano variants

Lifetime Warranty

Designed for J-bend spokes

Specifications:

Brand: Zipp

Model: ZR1

Orientation: Front

Axle Type: TA 12x100

Spoke Holes: 28

Brake Compatibility: Disc (Center Lock)

Driver Body Type: n/a

Over Locknut Material: n/a

Color (Hub): Black

Driver Mechanism: n/a

Axle Material: Aluminum front & rear

Axle - Convertible: No

Driver Body Material: n/a

Hub Shell: Aluminum – Angled flanges – Fully machined

OLD: 100mm

Bearings: Cartridge - Steel

Power Measurement: Not Compatible
