The Zipp ZR1 Rear Hub was developed in collaboration with SRAM’s engineering team in Schweinfurt, Germany, as an upgrade for Zipp’s proven Firecrest wheel lineup. Designed for durability, quick engagement, and easy serviceability, the ZR1 incorporates key technologies inspired by Zipp’s premium Cognition hubs. Enhanced sealing, improved bearing protection, and a large dust cap design help increase long-term reliability in demanding riding conditions.

Engineered for responsive performance, the ZR1 hub uses an advanced pawl system that delivers fast engagement for an immediate power transfer feel. The hub is designed for use with widely available J-bend spokes, making maintenance and replacement straightforward. Compatible with Center Lock disc rotors and featuring removable end caps, the ZR1 hub offers versatility while maintaining the high standards expected from Zipp components.
