The Kross Mini 4.0 is a 16 inch-wheel girls' bike in glossy pink, built on an aluminium frame with a single-speed drivetrain and weighing 9.5 kg.
The frame is Kross's Aluminium Performance construction paired with a rigid steel fork and no suspension - the right call at this wheel size, where a suspension fork adds weight a small rider cannot use. At 9.5 kg complete, it is manageable for a child to handle and for a parent to lift.
The drivetrain is a simple single speed: a steel 28T crankset on a 102 mm axle, driving through a KMC HV410 chain with no derailleurs or shifters to go out of adjustment. Braking is a V-brake up front on Kross levers and a Torpedo hub brake at the rear, so the bike stops even with small hands on the bars.
Finishing kit is sized for the rider: a 460 mm steel handlebar on a 25.4 mm clamp, 60 mm steel stem at 25°, Propalm Pro grips, a Selle Royal Explora Jr saddle on a 27.2 × 230 mm steel seatpost, and plastic composite pedals. It rolls on aluminium rims with Wanda P1023 16 × 1.95 tyres.
